3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2014 Interesting. Dark ruby color slightly creamy head. Smell is one of malts and iced tea with very slight citrus and hops on the back end. Has a little bit of a bitter taste to it. Some roasty notes. Could drink barrels of this stuff.

Smooth and easy drinking ale. Good dark amber colouration with minimal head, soft aroma consisting of liquorice and malts, taste is slightly fruity with hints of chocolate and toasted malts and is very well balanced. Overall a very good, easy drinking beer, perfect for any occasion

Poměrně dobré pivenko , které má sice nižší hodnocení na ratebeeru, nicméně mně chutnalo.. Jemná chuť, sladší aroma i říz ale skvělý dozvuk.

Sampled from tap at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, dark brownish red with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, raisins and some licorice root. Sweetish-malty, slightly bitter and a little fruity taste of caramel, raisins and licorice root, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit spicy and slightly dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but not really my cup of tea.

This beer was so disappointing. I bought it in the can, I think it is a new format for them, but no different to the bottle. Thin, acidic taste even though the can was not old at all. I could tell by the best by coding. Unbalanced and just a "beer" in my opinion. Maybe it is better locally as a real ale, that is possible. In fact I never enjoyed any in the range, the ones I could find here.

One of my all time favorite beers. Top 5 for sure. Awesome to drink while watching The Hobbit or something of epic proportion like the beer.

Botella de supermercado en Clapham, Londres. Intensas maltas de caramelo dulce, especias, cereales y maltas de pan dulce. Ámbar claro, oscuro, medio, cremoso, cabeza blanquecina. Luz dulce. Más maltas dulces de grano y pan, caramelo, especias, carbonatación suave, cuerpo medio, ligeramente amargo. Decente ESB, nada demasiado complejo pero bastante sólido.
