Its dark brown in color, with a small head. I smell hops, light coffee and malt. Taste is sweet with bitterness, fruit, hops and bread. Clean finish....

Pours dark ruby-brown with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of roast malts, berries, very fruity. Aroma is fantastic, unfortunately, the taste was a bit dissapointing. Taste of roast malts, caramel, nuts, some dark fruits, light roast malt bitterness. A bit watery. Light bitter aftertaste

It’s got some mild malt and chocolate flavor. Not offensive but not the strong flavor you want in a dark ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2017 Pours a nice ruby amber colour with a off white head. Aroma of spice / caramel . Tastes full body and very palatable .

500ml bottle. Pours mahogany with a beige head. Medium carbonation. Looks fantastic in the glass. Nose is brown bread, chocolate, dark fruits and lemon. Earthy and a touch nutty on the pallet. Taste is dark malts, bready, Christmas cake, dark fruits, licorice and a bitter finish. Fairly sweet too. Used to drink this years ago all the time, and never got round to rating it. Still enjoy it !

Mahogany/amber color with a thin white head. Medium body, medium carbonation, almost no lacing. Malty and fruity aroma of pear, plum, banana, biscuits, caramel, toffee, wood, herbs, some honey and molasses. Taste of caramel, plum, apples, raisin (and other dark fruits), malts, hay, hops, biscuits, butterscotch, chocolate, herbs, some strawberry and vanilla. Mild, yet nice aftertaste. Pleasant one.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2017 Colour brown to dark red. Nice smell of berries. In taste caramel, raspberries, blackcurrant, transforming into alcohol in finish. Drinkable, sweet, nice.

Bottle of 50cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge.

Common English beer, nor good nor bad. Brown colour with a sweet chocolate taste. It didn't really match my tastes...

Try it ?
