1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles.
Aroma: light grain and soap.
Appearance: very small, light-brown, initial head that completely disappeared within seconds. No lacing. Hazy, bubbly, dark-amber/light-brown body.
Taste: moderately sweet, initial flavor and lightly sour, grape-bubble-gum and soap-like finish. Long duration.
Palate: light bodied with watery texture, lively carbonation and light alcohol finish.
Overall: I wouldn’t drink this again. It reminded me of a time when I was three years old and my mom washed out my mouth with a bar of Dial soap for swearing. That day I cried. I wish I could do that now since this beer was so disappointing. Maybe I’ll just swear instead.

An average beer, not amazed by it at all. But drinkable, nice. Pale, chocolate aroma, light body, light foam.... azzurro (501) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2018
While enjoying discovering beers from this brewery, this one described as ruby red ale, where I would hope for an amber or scotch ale, ESB is not my cup of tea. beersandbass (34) - Saint-Amand-Montrond, FRANCE - JAN 3, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2018 Une superbe bière brune qui dévoile des saveurs de malt torréfié, de café et de houblon. J'ai adoré. RW80 (2900) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2017

0.5 l bottle. Pours mahogany with thin, persistent head. Nose is fruity-flowery with decent malty backbone. Same applies to the taste: fruits come upfront, followed by biscuit-like malts. Decent, and well rounded. Short bittersweet finish, soft carbo, light body. Proper bitter. Hanoi (980) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2017
Nose is very fruity, slight yeast. Taste is fruity, yeast, spice. Stale, acidic, sickly taste which seems to be in all wychwood brews is overpowering. Mouthfeel is sticky. steenrasmussen (0) - Randers NØ, DENMARK - DEC 26, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2017 Dåse. Rødlig med næsten ingen duft, men hæderligt skum. Smagen klassisk ESB med malten som det dominerende. gorthaurz (132) - CROATIA - NOV 30, 2017
Pours dark ruby-brown with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of roast malts, berries, very fruity. Aroma is fantastic, unfortunately, the taste was a bit dissapointing. Taste of roast malts, caramel, nuts, some dark fruits, light roast malt bitterness. A bit watery. Light bitter aftertaste drshuteye (7) - - NOV 26, 2017 does not count
It’s got some mild malt and chocolate flavor. Not offensive but not the strong flavor you want in a dark ale.
