Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.

Poměrně dobré pivenko , které má sice nižší hodnocení na ratebeeru, nicméně mně chutnalo.. Jemná chuť, sladší aroma i říz ale skvělý dozvuk.

Sampled from tap at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, dark brownish red with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, raisins and some licorice root. Sweetish-malty, slightly bitter and a little fruity taste of caramel, raisins and licorice root, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit spicy and slightly dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but not really my cup of tea.

This beer was so disappointing. I bought it in the can, I think it is a new format for them, but no different to the bottle. Thin, acidic taste even though the can was not old at all. I could tell by the best by coding. Unbalanced and just a "beer" in my opinion. Maybe it is better locally as a real ale, that is possible. In fact I never enjoyed any in the range, the ones I could find here.

One of my all time favorite beers. Top 5 for sure. Awesome to drink while watching The Hobbit or something of epic proportion like the beer.

Botella de supermercado en Clapham, Londres. Intensas maltas de caramelo dulce, especias, cereales y maltas de pan dulce. Ámbar claro, oscuro, medio, cremoso, cabeza blanquecina. Luz dulce. Más maltas dulces de grano y pan, caramelo, especias, carbonatación suave, cuerpo medio, ligeramente amargo. Decente ESB, nada demasiado complejo pero bastante sólido.

From old tasting notes. Deep amber red color topped by bubbly beige head. Mild toasted malt aroma. Hints at baked bread. . Bittersweet malt flavor leans toward dried fruit and spices. Very well balanced ang flavorful.
