Bottle. Pours medium amber/brown with a big, thick off white creamy head. Head stays around for a while too, real pretty. Aroma slightly bitter, malty, with apples. Bitter smell, like a red delicious apple. First taste is light, apples, caramel, tasty malt, maybe hazelnut. Light bitterness on the back of the tongue, increases as flavor disappears. Feels a bit on the thin side, but the maltiness on the tongue makes it feel a bit creamy at the same time. Like 2 percent milk. Aftertaste leaves you a ghost of hops on the back of the throat and tongue, but disappears, finishing clean. All that being said, there is a little metallic hint in every part: aroma, flavor, finish. Not unpleasant, but noticeable. Still a pretty tasty beer.
Bottle from Tesco in London drank in hotel. Dark ruby color w thick head. Aroma of dried fruit. Similar taste. A little sweet. Decent

Mahogany/amber color with a thin white head. Medium body, medium carbonation, almost no lacing. Malty and fruity aroma of pear, plum, banana, biscuits, caramel, toffee, wood, herbs, some honey and molasses. Taste of caramel, plum, apples, raisin (and other dark fruits), malts, hay, hops, biscuits, butterscotch, chocolate, herbs, some strawberry and vanilla. Mild, yet nice aftertaste. Pleasant one. rawelon (10) - - NOV 6, 2017

Bottle of 50cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge.
Common English beer, nor good nor bad. Brown colour with a sweet chocolate taste. It didn't really match my tastes...

Dark amber with firm head. Nose is malty with herbal notes and some juniper. Taste is also light herbal and still the berries but accentuated with hops. Palate short but nice. dorain (647) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 31, 2017
Aus der Flasche (Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Limited Edition) im 2017-10 getrunken. Klassisches ESB mit sher runden Malz- und leichten Fruchtaromen. Der Körper ist kräftig ohne aber aufdringlich zu sein. Lecker! Bill Becker (1775) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 31, 2017
Purchased at Liquor Shed in Casper for US$10.45 a 6pack.
This pours from 12oz brown bottle a dark amber bordering on brown with a good 1 finger head of foam and it has some good lacing.
The smell is of caramel and roasted malt and there's some fruit going on there as well....nice nose.
The taste is a nice big load of caramel malt up front...very tasty. After another sip, I get a touch of roasted malt, a healthy biscuit presence, and a surprising amount of fruit...especially when I swish it in my mouth. Cherries, some fig, a little bit of citrus. Very tasty indeed. I've had this before so it comes as no surprise that I'll probably end up giving it a good review. lol
Bottom line: This is a tasty brew....more flavours than I'd expect from a typical English Brown Ale and they work well together. At least to my palate. Will I buy this again? It looks pretty in the glass, has a good inviting nose, is very flavourful, has a good mouthfeel, and is pretty darned drinkable...yep. I sure will.
