3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear, dark amber. A tall beige head remains for a while before disappearing and leaving behind a fair amount of lacing. Aroma of dried cherries, faint alcohol, grassiness, and a bit of pine. Taste is more in line with the style--sweetness from malts has a rye bread character, followed by a bit a toffee. Flavor becomes more bitter and astringent toward end as hops become more pronounced. Mouthfeel is just slightly chewy, with a light hint of carbonation. A great beer that offers some depth and complexity while remaining true to an established style.
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2017 Pours dark red to reddish brown with a light brown tinge to the head. Maintains a thin head. Nutty /roasted malt aroma. A bitter/earthy taste with caramel and toffee flavours. Overall a decent tasting beer. OminouSC2 (722) - Mora, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2017

Slightly notes of chocolate, and the english hops. Fine instead of a pilsener.
