PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 20, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 500 ml bottle. Medium copper pour, eggshell white head, hint of lacing. Aroma has some toffee notes, a hint of spice and licorice. Flavor has a sweet toffee essence to it with some nuttiness, a touch of licorice, some astringent notes. Bitters near the end. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent.

Mørk, rød/svart farge, lukter fantastisk av karamell, malt og jul. Flott, tykt kremhvitt skumlag, bra med kullsyre. Desverre er smaken vesentlig tammere enn aromaen, men alt i alt en positiv opplevelse.

TBone (17544) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 1, 2013
Bottle 500ml @Beer Factory, Athens
Dark copper brown color, small steady beige head. Aroma has caramel, nuts, light spicey notes. Medium-bodied. Nutty malty, caramelly, very Fullers ESBish flavor. Short finish. Good drink but not very exiciting.

benfergy (248) - Valley City, North Dakota, USA - NOV 30, 2013
Aroma of red wine and wild yeast; as I sip I notice strong caramel malts. The taste is very balanced; nice level of sweetness. The palate is very smooth; also the mouth feel is very thick. Overall, a great beer!

TaxiDriver (1775) - Stadland, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2013
Bottle. The beer smells a little bit malty and bitter, later on also light sweet of bread. The head is medium large, pale beige and creamy-foamy with a normal duration. The body is red-brown. A malty taste, light bitter and weak alcoholic. The body is rather light, very creamy and a little bit oily with a soft carbonation.

BeerViking (4796) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2013
Dark red-brown with a big though fast-settling off-white head and a candied fruit nose. Body is dryish and lightly hoppy at first, turning sweet with dark fruit and burnt sugar. More burnt bitter sugar in the finish, plus a smooth woodiness.

samzim (428) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 22, 2013
Scent of apple, malt, and caramel. Clear copper colour. Slight sweetness with mild bitterness. Notes of malt, toffee, and vanilla. Medium body and lively carbonation.

GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2013
Bottle from the LCBO. Clear and bright copper-amber with a finger of slightly off-white head that sticks around a bit longer than expected. Aroma is clean and balanced, with solid caramel malt, a bit of caramelized banana and dried fruit, an earthy tone, and twiggy hops with a hint of orange oil. Flavour is similarly balanced, with caramel and dried apricots to start, some baked apple and whisky-soaked raisins in the middle, and a surprisingly well-hopped finish with orange peel bitterness and a sight medicinal back note. Really enjoyable!

gegwilson (3708) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle from Morrison’s. Deep amber ale with no head. Sweet fruity nose. Flavours of fruit cake, caramel and pear drop before a bit of a nothing finish. Something slightly saccharine in there too.Disappointing as i was expecting good things from this. Still a good beer, but not great.

3.5
mr_h (5535) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - NOV 13, 2013
500ml bottle from Morrisons, Ayr - clear brown, foamy cream head, some bubbles, sweet malty and caramel aroma, very poor lacing, sweet, caramel, high carbonation, short sweet malty finish
