500ml bottle from Ken Warne local store, Darlington. Deep brown colour, tan foamy head leaving lacing and malty, bready aroma. Taste is toasty, malty, nutty with tangy, dried fruit & leathery notes and earthy bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry warm boozy nutty finish. Quite OK.

Intense, dark, toasted malts, caramel, bread, dark fruits, blackcurrant. Dark, clear brown, medium, beige, creamy head. Light bitter. More bread and sweet grain malts, caramel, red fruits, soft carbonation, medium bodied, lightly bitter finish. OK ESA, nothing too complex though. Bottle from Wine Rack, Chiswick.

Color cobrizo oscuro turbio. Buena espuma, baja retencion. Aroma algo metalico, maltoso, frutal y dulce. Sabor maltoso, caramelo, nueces y lupulo herbal. Cuerpo medio a ligero. Final alcoholico (calienta la boca) y levemente seco. Cerveza compleja pero me la bajo mucho el aroma metalico y el final tan alcoholico.

Veiled dark copper color with a low amount of activity. Creamy and foamy, well defined, light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with some very good leggings. Faint aromas of booze, burnt sugar, ginger, bread and butter. Flavors of ester fruits like apple, berries, and grapes with some ginger bread feel and peppercorn, roasted grains with a wood feel and herbal spices. Highly sugary but with a strong bitterness. Slick full body with prickly carbonation. Medium to strong finish, ending with a vinous fruity earthy feel and lingering herbal spices with some ginger. Thick sugary feel of bubblegum. Overall a little above average in quality having decent flavors that I find slightly off, and its missing some freshness from a highly boozy, but warming feel. Although well spiced and well balanced, its a little flat and very acidic.
