Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Copper colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is crystal and bready malts along with rather strong grassy and floral bitterness. Also has some slight caramel and dark dry fruits. Flavour is raisins, dark dry fruits, quite strong on the malty side as well as rather bitter towards the finish.

Clear brown beer, small off white head. Malt with a touch of marmite. Brief estery note before a bitter dry finish. Not great on cask and only a bit better from the bottle. Disappointing.

Bottled. Clear nut brown, rich head. Slight grapefruity hop aroma. Caramelly with above medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mildly warming and really caramelly, mid bitter finish. Solid, but uneventful. Much better than expected by Wychwood!

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 16, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Nutty, caramellish nose. Solid body, nuts and caramel with a metalic touch. A little late tropical fruits perhaps. The hop finish is a little boring. 160411
