A delicate ruby-coloured beer with the rich, heady aroma of English Northdown hops. Pumpking is brewed using an aromatic barley malt which imparts a flavour reminiscent of dried fruits. The Northdown hops provide a balance with a heady, hoppy, bitterness. A delightful mysterious blend of pleasures.
2011 version 4.2% ABV, previously 4.5% and 5.0%

LED40 (123) - Aberdeen, - NOV 19, 2012
Mild tasting, ruby in colour, foamy white head, bready malts, pleasant mouth feel, medium body and low hop presence. Overall nothing too special - I probably wouldn’t have known that it was a pumking beer if it didn’t say it on the label.

heavy (2911) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 9, 2017
Dec. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle at 3.8% ABV. From Mali Ducan, Split. It poured a clear reddish-copper body with a medium sized head. Light ginger and pumpkin in aroma with lots of sweet caramel and toffee malt, pretty pleasant one. Flavor was lightly bitter spicy and lightly soapy like pumpkins. Grainy note was strong, acting like a bridge to the decent, elegant sweet caramel malt in the background. Unfortunately also quite metallic towards the finish which ruins otherwise a pleasant brew. Thinner to medium body with moderately long, lightly soapy-pumpkin and metallic-caramel finish. Could be better, but expected worse, so it was a win-win anyway.

zacgillbanks (5651) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2017
Bottle from Morrisons, Birtley, Gateshead. Dark amber with a thin white head. It has an almond and malty flavour with nutty notes and sulphur on the finish. Not bad for the ABV.

Trolleo (1826) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 22, 2017
Malty aroma, some spices, not much of a pumpkin. Clear deep amber to ruby color with huge tan head, nice retention and lacing. Malty taste, lots of caramel, medium sweet, some spices, toffee, kind of boring actually. Thin bodied, average to soft carbonation. Little bit more spicy bitter, that’s all. And a very light one too.

Almost no aroma, a little malty. Looks beautiful, crystal clear, amber colour. Tastes too watery, can’t really say that I feel pumpkins or spices.

Courtesy of Jaghana. Couleur ambrée, très légère mousse. Bon nez caramélisé, un peu fruité rouges, herbeux, note butterscotch. Par contre gout très leger, herbeux et note caramel. Corps aqueux. Fin légère amere et note pain.
