Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Only had this once or twice several years back when it was still called "Circlemaster". Remember it was damn good drinkable stuff, and has huge potential for summer barbeques if you can get your mitts on it, and also for weaning people off cheap lager and onto "proper beer".

From elcervecero. In Ikea’s pint glass. After dinner. Fresh, refreshing, zesty, with a moreish dry finish and very pleasant herbal bitterness/spicyness notes. One of Wychwood best offerings and with difference the best brew with the label "organic" Ive had.

Frankly, it’s disappointing to see the reception this has received. Let’s set the record straight. It’s aroma is floral, light and perfumey, with a bit of light fruit. It’s appearance is a light orange, with a full white head, no effervescence, w/ excellent lacing. The flavor is very subtle, mild tartness, complex mild floral and light malts, no hops that push the forefront, but later lingering prescence, interesting balance more hops appear toward the end. The body feel is light, well balanced, ultra velvety smooth. More hops and yeasty qualities appear later w/ that familiar bubblegum accent, from the yeast.

Really tasty, easy to drink organic beer, not gassy one of the nicest pale ales I’ve had.

I really enjoyed this brew, it was sweet but at the same time bitter, very balanced, I would LOVE to see this on draft!!

Very cool bottle and label (just like the other Wychwood beers I’ve seen). Aroma is a little skunky but the flavor is wonderful. Starts out crisp and bitter but finishes smooth and sweet as the beer warms. Bright golden/yellowish color with little head retention and lacing.

I had the ’alias’ name called Wychwood Scarecrow, Golden Pale Ale. I really enjoyed this one, It was a real nice golden amber color with a medium head. It smelled my fruits. It has a slightly bitter taste followed by a real sweet fruity taste (like apples). Very good, yum. I’m thinking about going out and buying some more right now. The bottle states that it’s Organic which is pretty cool. One of my personal favs right now.

Descent Aroma. Golden color very close to orange. Flavor light sweetness, Light bitterness, not sour at all. Medium body sort of a creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Short finish
