Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops. Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Pours cloudy with cidery, pungent nose. More cider with initial mouthful that works into a sour bitterness. It’s almost like this beer was orginally made to be an IPA. but was changed at the last minute. The effort is there but overall a let down.

DraftDodger (1450) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2017
Copenhagen 11/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. A not very frightening Scarecrow standing among the Barley and Hops on the label. For some reason they are calling it a "Golden Pale Ale". Pours bubbly golden yellow with white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is not very intense. Sweet malts and cardboard with light notes of citrus. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by dry bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with semi dry finish. A little thin but refreshing - and nicely bitter.

Bottle from Booths, Clitheroe. Golden with a thin head. Has a dry but understated pale ale texture. There’s some hops in nose, a hint of fruit in its taste, but it’s all understated once again.

From elcervecero. In Ikea’s pint glass. After dinner. Fresh, refreshing, zesty, with a moreish dry finish and very pleasant herbal bitterness/spicyness notes. One of Wychwood best offerings and with difference the best brew with the label "organic" Ive had.

Pours clear gold with a white head. Faint aroma of hops. Kind of bland tasting, has some hops and malts, but it just doesn’t deliver.

Bottle @ Tartu Kaubamaja. Pours clear golden with small white head, stays. Aroma: metalic, hay, sweetish, weak honey and maybe ginger. Taste: wet cardboard, sweetish, metalic, sour rotten hay. Thin body. Bad.

500ml Flasche. Dunkelgelbes Bier, cremiger Schaum. Es riecht nach Trauben und Getreide. Wenig Kohlensäure. Bitter im Antrunk. Wenig Körper. Gras und Kräuter.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 8, 2016
Hazy golden color with moderate activity. Slightly creamy beige 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with moderate legs. Flavors of caramel, honey, barley, leafy hops. Lots of sugars but well balanced from some bitter grassy hops. Oily smooth almost full body with the perfect amount of crispy carbonation. Light finish, short lingering roasted malts with butterscotch and a dash of herbal spices. Slightly missing some freshness being a little flat and thick. Else the flavors are nice and the feel ends well with tongue coating honey. Overall decent quality craft.

Beautiful gold color with smell white head, watery palate and smooth citrusey taste
