Nothing gives Dorothy more pleasure than the succulent aroma of the two finest English hop varieties, Goldings and Fuggles. She selected these and Maris Otter pale malt for her Golden Ale as they’re naturally a winning combination.
The result is a crisp and zesty beer that is as comfortable served on its own as it is alongside chicken dishes, salads and pasta.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop. Medium body. Bitter finish. OK beer.

500ml brown bottle, crowned, abv 4.2%, [email protected] (Tomasjord Tromsø). Small white head, keeps a layer, and bright amber hazy body. Scents; hops, fruitiness, meadow, roasted malt far back. Taste; hops, very gentle malt, mild citric bitterness, mine was low carbonated, hints of old butter. Smooth to palate, slightly watery. Final has much of the same as the taste, with a mild bitterness under it.

14.11.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Ica Karmsundgata. Golden colour without carbonation. Soft tasteless beer that totaly lacks carbonatuion and freshness. Spoiled I think and not good.

Cask at the Barrels, Hereford, 17/10/13. Clear golden with a thin off white covering. Good lacing ensues. Nose carries light chemical notes, grass, fruits. Taste comprises orange, citric fruit, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light grassy bitterness in the finish. Ok GB, the chemical notes lower the score for this one a few notches. This was one of 5 Wye Valley cask ales I had at the Barrels this evening and there were no off notes on any of the others.

Klar lys brun i fargen med hvitt skum. Kornete lukt. Lite smak. Kjedelige greier!!!!

500 ml bottle. Clear golden body with big white head. Mild fruity aroma. Not much flavor either, some soft pale malt and mild fruity bitterness. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. Drinkable but not exiting, pretty dull actually.

Bottle. A clear one, golden in color and with a white head. Some lacings. Pale malts and fruityness in the aroma. Rather boring. The same goes for the flavor, with some bitterness. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. Overall, just boring. 131018

Bottle 500ml @ home
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, floral and grass. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

gunnar (9923) - Sandnes, NORWAY - SEP 28, 2013
Bottle from my local ICA store. Pours clear golden, small creamy white head. Aroma is very weak and bland. Taste is more presence, with some citrussy hops over the light malty body.

zacgillbanks (5661) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - AUG 1, 2013
Bottle from Boths, Ripon. A golden ale with citrus fruity and toffee flavours, woody notes and a sweet creamy finish.
