Small white head, keeps a layer, and bright amber hazy body.
Scents; hops, fruitiness, meadow, roasted malt far back.
Taste; hops, very gentle malt, mild citric bitterness, mine was low carbonated, hints of old butter.
Smooth to palate, slightly watery.
Final has much of the same as the taste, with a mild bitterness under it.
Bottle. Gold in colour. Refreshing grapefruit hoppiness balanced by light malt. Lingering citrus hop finish. Very drinkable. (2008)

Served in a tulip from a 500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden colour with virtually no head. Aroma is honey, caramel and a bit floral. Taste is honey with floral notes, very nicely balanced with a pleasant slight bitter aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Very smooth and enjoyable. 500ml bottle-conditioned. Pours clear gold with thick white head. Aroma of citrus hop. Taste medium bitterness. Quite sweet. Palate: light, good hop taste throughout. Carbonation high. Overall: a typical british bitter done well. allmyvinyl (10823) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2015
Bottle from Booths, Penwortham. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon barley water. Taste is light caramel, faint lemon bitterness on the finish. Not bad, but not particularly inspiring stuff.

Bottle - decent hoppy aroma. Thin looking with no head - clear light golden with medium carbonation. Initial syrup texture but with ting on tongue / mouth. Ok taste but overall too much ting. AshtonMcCobb (6757) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 19, 2015
Bottle from Appleyards Deli, Shrewsbury.
Appearance - golden with a generous head.
Nose - light caramel biscuit. Also grassiness, even hay.
Taste - herbs, biscuits, lemon zing on the finish.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - this one grew on me. It has elements of ESB about it. braystacey (9) - - JUN 18, 2015 does not count
Tastes like Bramling Cross hops but claims to be F&EKG. Quite a standard light British ale with not much in the way of head from the bottle.
