A Red Rye & Juniper Infused Nordic Ale... brewed in conjunction with our monistic brethren from Northern Monk... Blended rye and crystal malts battle axe through dank pine forest pungent gusts of juniper berry infusion with a final plundering dry wine finish courtesy of Sigmund’s Voss Kveik old strain Nordic yeast culture.

TBone (18099) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 20, 2017
Bottle at Rådhuskällaren. Dark brown colour, small beige head. Juniper, rye in the nose. Medium-bodied. Rye, juniper, light tartness, maltyness. I don't think it is so Nordic but it has kind of Nordic vibe.

LazyPyro (1482) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a thin tan head disappearing very quickly. Aroma: juniper berries, slightly spicy, malts. Taste: juniper berries, rye, spices, cinnamon, malts, caramel/toffee, slightly piney/resinous, fairly sweet. Medium body, soft carbonation. An interesting beer that’s for sure but not one I’d want again.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Leeds. Cloudy brown with an extremely thin head. Light but gritty and grainy with its dark malts, which are slightly sweetened and it’s surprisingly easy supping.

Bottle at the Stratford ale house. Aroma and taste quite similar : chocolate, mint, toffee, raisins. Quite peculiar, but enjoyable. Would drink again.

Keg at Wild Beer at Wapping Wharf, Bristol, Gloucs. Hazy brown with beige head. It’s not a looker that’s for sure but there is a malty sweetness along with full and fruity hop notes. Tropical fruits, resinous notes, forest fruits, it all seems to be there. Very decent in the end.

ianwelby (1486) - SCOTLAND - MAR 24, 2017
Cloudy brown beer, thick head to start but it disappears. Light aroma of chocolate and raisins. Flavour is creamy chocolate and raisins but at the same time it’s surprisingly light, crisp and fresh. Some sour, citrusy fruit through the backtaste. I don’t think it finds the balance perfectly but it’s nice all the same.
