Pours hazy amber color, topped with a big white head, foamy and pretty lasting. Nice fruity aroma - stone fruits, citruses and lots of lychee. Slightly sweet resiny feel. Decent bitterness, a bit harsh in the start. Sweet fruitiness later on. Medium body. Fresh IPA.

6.4%ABV. IPA.

Poured out amber. 12SRM.

Nose has sweet malty funk with green hoppy aroma suggesting green mango peel. Hint of sweet citrus suggesting tangerines, ripe oranges. Hint of resin/epoxy in the nose.

Mouthfeel is juicy and soapy. Palate has honey graham, pie crusts, honeyed wheat toast. Hops are spicy with scallion and cilantro and fresh mint, bitter is citrus peel with grapefruit and lemon peel. Hint of citrus oil. There is also a woody spiciness that is suggestive of ’Brett’ presence. For me this is more of an overall impression with a spicy, peppery heat coupled with bitter.

There is some body to this one as well with a nectary palate like apricot nectar

Finish is brief with a woody, slightly resinous, peppery bitter finish.

Very good.

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Muddy amber brown, reasonable head. Grain hop malt aroma. Bitter crunchie bar malt hop flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. West coast style IPA but not a great one.

minutemat (6133) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy light amber, large white head. Aroma presents a fruity whiff with marmalade and caramel. Taste is similar with fruity marmalade yeast, light citric shades with some curious pineapple fruit emerging. Interesting and just about works.

Apperance golden, slightly hazy. Fantastic fruity aroma. Taste fruity and medium bitterness, well balanced with the sweetness. The ending has the same balance. An excellent ipa, absolute top class!

Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and smooth, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Trace of hop skunk. Mellow tangerine and lime. Very light hop spice. Piney fruity finish. Nicely joined up. I love punchy IPAs but sometimes it’s nice to have one that is more laid back but still very hoppy. Look forward to trying more beers with the AU035 hops, seem to bring something different to this one.
