Pint can. Dark fruit aroma with some Belgian yeast, Candi sugar and light, boozy whiskey notes. Pours dark caramel colored with a thin tan head with good retention and lacing. Starts with sweet dark fruit and Candi sugar that is very sticky sweet. Finishes smooth with some light Belgian yeast, very light whiskey notes and faint booziness. Pretty good, but a little thin and very light on the whiskey flavor that was advertised.

Dark, sweet malts, caramel, oak, molasses, dark, dried fruits, plum, prunes. Hazy, dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. More dark malts, sweet, burnt caramel, molasses, more oak, light whiskey, soft carbonation, full bodied. Quite a sweet Quadruple, rich and complex. Keg at the brewpub, Denver.

Beautiful plummy brown pour with a thin light beige head. Strong oak and raisin nose with plum and earthy rustic Belgian malt. Big boozy flavor with lots of oak and whisky, some plum and date and cherry, with more of a Belgian Amber maltiness and not so much that classical dark fruity depth. Bold without being abrasive, with lovely nuances of whiskey--just enough to add complexity without being the show-hog. Lots of oak and plum/date. Just the right amount of booze depth.

On cask at the brewery, 9.9% and 21 IBU’s. Reddish, deep amber and clear appearance with a tan head. Mild aroma of dark fruity esters, yeast, light candy sugar, toasted oak, light smoky malts and light whiskey. Similar flavor, fruity, yeasty, smoky and sweet. Medium body, kind of thin for a quad, though. Pretty weird overall.

Draft at the brewery. Barrel-aged. Pours opaque nut brown with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like dried prunes, raisins, earthy malt, booze, woody, and dark fruits. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like plums, raisins, earthy malt, dried prunes, and booze.
