mcberko (17823) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 4, 2017
On tap at Wynkoop, pours a deep dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt and some harsh resinous hop oils. Flavour is along the same lines but better, with resinous hop oils and toasted caramel malt. Malty body, yet finishes hoppy and bitter. Nice stuff.

HuskerTan (2201) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - AUG 11, 2015
Can. A- Caramel, subtle pine, malty. A- Dark amber red color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, pine, herbs, malty, slightly bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- I’d guess this is about as big of a beer as I’ve had from a can yet. I was pleased with the heaps of caramel I got on the nose and even in the taste. And a good caramel, not the burnt caramel kind. The pine and bitterness crept in as it warmed.

neepsntatties (1988) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 24, 2015
On tap at Wynkoop. Colour...dark, garnet-amber with a thin ecru head. Nose...fairly hoppy with some boiled sweets and field dust. Palate...frothy, very malt and quite hoppy with dark fruits and dust coated hop cones. The back palate and finish are very bitter and semi cloying. Not a wide range of flavours but a solid impy red.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2014
On tap at brewery October 01, 2014. Appearance: finger khaki head that lasts, amber color, light cloudy. Aroma: malty sweet, light grapefruit, light caramel, floral. Not watery, good tastes, like the body.

DiarmaidBHK (4893) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2014
Can from Hazel’s beverage mart. Pours deep red with an inch of white foam that fades pretty quickly. It leaves behind a lot of lacing. a bit of pine on the nose. a little bit of pine on the tongue but it’s faint. It hides its alcohol fairly well but it’s a bit boring considering the style.

3.6
DocJitsu (1976) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Pours a dull brown-amber with a creamy, shirt eggshell colored head. Fruity and caramel nose. Thick, sticky, and astringent. Caramel and fruitiness with some citrus hops emerging midway.

3.4
agntorange (4) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 9, 2014 does not count
A- a deep reddish-amber with a thick, mouse-like light khacki head with long retention S- Deep layers of sweet caramely malt with hints of fruityness similar to raisins, dates and figs comingle with the layered earthy, spicy and citric hop notes. T- surprisingly hoppy considering the nose. Dark, fruitbread like notes. Slight caramely, malt sweetness, is balanced out by the sweet, fruity citrusy notes offered by the hops M/F- a smooth medium boddied ale that has found a way to use hops as a major player without abusiing the palate, instead offering bittsrness in the long, dry finish.
