Very OK. Roasted and chocolate notes for the aroma. Nice dark chocolate color with a small milky head. Creamy palate with little to no carbonation since this was a nitro. Cool roasted malts with a milk chocolate essence. I didn’t detect the coffee noted on the brewery’s description. Not overly sweet. The best for what the brewery’s menu had to offer.
Tap at the pub. Dark brownish black color. Near opaque but clear where visible. tan creamy head. Roasty nose, chocolate, coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Roasted grain, chocolate, bitter finish. ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 6, 2017
Puts the sweet in sweet stout. Very smooth, more sugar sweet than chocolate sweet. Nearly no roastiness. Tried at the brewery in 2017. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2016
Backlog entry: Flight at the brewery in Denver. Decent beers, all average. Most on the lighter side but aligned with the style. Skinnyviking (9570) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2016
Draught at the brewery. High creamy lasting off-white lasting head. Very dark brown body. Odd seaweed aroma with a bit of cocoa. Mild creamy cocoa coffee cream. Low carbonation, long sweet finish. radagast83 (8074) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 31, 2016
Draft at Wynkoop. Poured a very dark brown color, close to black with an off-white head. aroma was light sweet roasted malts. Light bitterness, some mild chocolate. Flavor was about the same, light roast. Some creaminess.

i want to write a normal review but i can’t for the mere fact that this beer is named Cowtown. A brewery actually has a beer named Cowtown. This is too delicious. The absurdity of it. Good Brown ale though. ben4321 (6514) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 30, 2015
Draft at the brewery, 11/21/15

Dark brown pour. Chocolate, coffee, and a bit of lactose come through in the aroma and flavor. A bit sweet with a nice roasty flavor. Nice, solidly made milk stout.
Nitro draft at brewery. Black pour- not transparent. Super smooth & creamy. Very similar to other milks but slightly better. HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2014
On tap at brewery October 01, 2014. Appearance: finger brown head, dark brown color, head lasts. Aroma: light floral hops, roast molasses, licorice, oats. Palate: full body, soft and creamy carbonation, light bitter finish. Taste: overwhelming molasses sweetness throughout, light chocolate hidden underneath. Overall, rather under impressed with this beer, cloying sweet and tastes that are not my favorite. JK (6162) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - OCT 1, 2014
Tap at Wynkoop. Thick and a lasting head. Some sweetness; lactose and roasted malt.ok.
