Pretty thin mouthfeel for a sour. Doesnt compare to the duchess or any belgian flemish.reds. Its missing body, but its the first sour I’ve had that is.brewed in the u.s.
Pour on tap at Denver Rare Beer Tasting, clear orange-red pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of sour cherry, acetic, acetone, hints of caramel, slight oak into some funk, slight chocolate notes. Taste was somewhat nutty, earthy, oak and vanilla, very slight whiskey into some caramel, some acetone into a bit of funk, finishing slightly tart. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 14, 2013
Tap @ Avery SourFest 2013. Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a thin tan head. Acetic, nutty/pecan, light caramel, cherry aroma. Tangy vinegar, sour cherry, caramel, candy bar aroma. Kind of strange.
