Clean, sweet aroma on pitch black appearance with nice light tan head. The body is a bit too sweet which masks the rest of the potential flavor.

nuplastikk (6277) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 30, 2011
5oz sample. Opaque black-brown. with a steady beige head. Medium bodied, creamy, pretty true to style. Light fruity pungency. Pretty enjoyable, a touch too mellow with the carbonation. OK.

Tasted on tap at Wynkoop Brewery in Denver, Colorado. Listed as Cowtown Milk Stout. Very dark appearance with a creamy carbonated head. Very sweet caramel flaver. Great flavor.

bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 8, 2010
As Cowtown Milk Stout. Tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small tan head. Smooth burnt malt aroma. Flavor is mildly sweet smooth burnt malt.

Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 24, 2010
Standard Nitro milk stout. There really weren’t any outstanding flavors or aromas, other than the creaminess from the milk and the nitro.

JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 24, 2010
Deep brown-amber beer with a touch of light licorice and some plummy sweetness as well. Milk chocolate but no real roastiness or stoutiness. A lot of their beers seem to be quite sweet and have some yeast issues… this one is not an exception.

drfabulous (7945) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 23, 2009
On draught at brewpub. No carbonation. Waitress explained it had no carbonation, but it should not have been served. Very little body. Almost cola like. Not good.

Dogbrick (13012) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2009 On draught at the brewpub. This beer is a dark brownish-black color with ruby around the edges, and a medium off-white head that lasts awhile. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Mild roasted malt and chocolate in the nose. Medium, smooth body with a subtle malt sweetness and notes of cocoa and roasted coffee. The finish is a little flat with a roasted malt aftertaste. Barely average overall.

patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 10, 2009
tap at the brewpub - Pours near black with an aroma of roast malt and lactose. It has a sweet and milky flavor that carries right into a fairly sweet finish. There’s a light to medium body and in my opinion needs more body. There are some good flavors there, but it’s a little watery too.

Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2009
On tap at Wynkoop poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy pale tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, light roastiness and a hint opf smoke. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate and light roastiness with a smooth milky finish.
