This Denver-style India Pale Ale is a hop head’s dream. Assertive flavors of pale malts and sticky hops and an intense bouquet courtesy of whole leaf hops in our Hopinator device.

Hazy light amber, little bit dull. Very aromatic, grapefruit, and other citrus. Good nose. Lots of bitterness, not much chewy malt....pretty good balance. My type of pale ale.

Wynkoop’s IPA is a foggy orange in appearance with a foamy bright white head. The nose is sweet, with resinous hops and what seems like a rye-esque muskiness. It’s very full in the mouth, and thick in the belly, with what tastes like a somewhat high amount of unconverted sugars. It’s pretty bitter in the finish, with piney, plant-like oils in attack mode. The hop profile is full, and it completely coats the palate. That sums it up: a heavy palate and a strong bitter finish. It’s certainly not sessionable, and should be consumed with a strong belly.

(Backlog) On tap at brewpub in June 2013. Hazy golden appearance with a small off-white head. Aroma is of grain, floral hops, and citrus. Taste is of light resin, malt, and bitter florals.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale amber orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grapefruit hoppy piney aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy bitter finish.

brokensail (16660) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 12, 2013
On tap @ Wynkoop. Orange pour with a white head. Grass, orange, and some pine hop notes. A bit of sweet bread and toast. Flavor is a bit grassy and bitter. Light caramel and bread sweetness. Some toast, orange peel, and pine. Hints of peach on the finish.

On draft. Good-looking beer. Rich copper color, tiny bubbles. Little-to-no lacing though. Thin aroma. Taste is of some vague piney hops that quickly give way to roasty malts. Pretty middle-of-the-road, mainstream-meh-level IPA.

DenverLogan (1271) - North Bend, Washington, USA - SEP 2, 2013
On tap from brewery and from growler taken home.
Amber with big head and lace.
Aroma of straw hops and tropical melon rind.
Moderate carbonation and significant mouthfeel.
Flavors of mango fruit rind, straw hops, earth, roasty malts, old citrus, slight oak and cheese. Overall bold and flavorful for an IPA, a bit musty, funky and bitter, but worthy to take a growler home at $10.85 for a refill!

travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Tap at brewpub. The look is slight haze, lacing off white, golden in color. The smell is grain, floral, hops, citrus. Slight cheese. The taste is slight bitterness, malt, floral, hops.

elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - APR 9, 2013
Draft at Brewery, surprisingly good. Good sticky, tropical citrus hop character, full burnout weighty body, appropriate bitterness.

jmikolich (1486) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - APR 9, 2013
Tap at Wynkoop, served in plastic cup due to Rockies game. A standard IPA by no means a vibrant bouquet of hops, just your standard IPA that any run of the mill brewery can and should make. Ho Hum and Move Along
