COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Weiss beer is a traditional German unfiltered wheat beer. It contains 50% wheat malt and is hopped with Brewer’s Gold and Hallertauer hops. This beer has notable clove and banana esters which is a characteristic of this particular yeast strain, which we procured from the Hans Hopf brewery in Meisbock, Germany.

Sweet wheat beer. Aftertaste has hints of banana and the cloves give it some bitterness.

On tap at Wynkoop. Pour is hazy lemon peel with a small white head. Big clove, bubblegum, banana, somewhat musty, biscuity, citrusy, and grassy aroma. Taste is clove, light banana, bubblegum, straw, light biscuit, grassy, lightly sweet, and citrusy with a medium spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Damn decent Hefeweizen.

Weird. I wish it was fuller bodied. Had on tap at the historic brewpub. Wasn’t very cloudy for an unfiltered wheat.
