COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
NOTE! In the US this beer is marketed as Xbeeriment #44. The reason for this is that any references to President Obama would only be permitted by US authorities if we had a written permission from the White House. So the dressing’s changed, but the beer stays the same!

Also please NOTE that the first US edition of "Xbeeriment #44" is erroneously labelled 10.4% ABV.

English: Brewed to celebrate Barack Obama’s inaugural as the 44th President of the United States, and the first black person to hold the office. A potent stout with a fair amount of peated malt in the grain bill. This adds a smoky character to the beer which obviously also has roasted aromas from the dark malts and roasted barley as well as loads of citrusy hop notes from the US hop varieties. NOTE: From 2009 - 2012 this beer was brewed at Amager Bryghus. From the summer of 2012 it will be brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

Thanks to Kris for the sweet in-person trade. Deep dark black beer with a thick beige head. Very sticky and chewy with a lovely nose. Lots of soft chewy cocoa with a bit of black licorice as well. Toasted chocolate and a bit of dry cocoa as well. At it warms the cocoa and chocolate really picks up. Lots of big herbal/earthy hoppy flavour. Long lingering bitterness. Really solid brew.

Great look with fat light brown head. Aroma-flavor of flowerwood, coffeechocs, small hints of smoke, roasty bitterness, good carbonation and a longlasting brew ending up bitter for an hour.

Botella, thanks Pinball. Pitch black colour with a steady nice light brown creamish head leaving a good lacing. Soke aroma with chocolate and roasty malt. Great mouthfeel. The flavour has lots of roasted malt with smoke, coffee, chocolate, a very pleasant bitterness and a long lasting roasty smokey dry finish. Yum!

Dark brown with a small light brown head. Mainly roasted malt aroma, mixed with some chocolate and citrus hops and wood. Bitter roasted and hoppy flavor with some sweet chocolate in there leading to a dry bitter roasted finish. Great brew!

Pours a dark ruby brown near black with a foamy head. Aroma is very hoppy and piney which cuts through a lot of roast and chocolate- hoppy stout/porterish more than a black IPA. Flavor is citrus hops, pine, roast, acrid bitter malts go with the bitter citrus hops ok, bittersweet nestle chocolate chips, with a nutty sweeter chocolate- like tootsie rolls, Nice clean finish with a nice drying aftertaste. Good.

Bottle: Dark, near opaque with a dense & well retained khaki head. Nice rich chocolaty aroma- thick black malt, light sweet peat notes, smooth roast. Creamy slick body- richly malt flavor- good chocolate character while remaining dry with an earthy light smoky note when it warms and a nice bittering hop character making it very drinkable in its richness. Residual mocha-like presence briefly hits the back. Very nice stout!

Skinnyviking (9569) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 25, 2009
Bottle. High cereamy and lasting light brown head. Very dark red brown almost black body. Roasted barley malt aroma with nuts coffee and cocoa. A bit sharp and hoppy roasted malt aroma with caramel coffee and cococo. I am afraid that the alcohol is too dominant as the beer feels pretty agressive. High carbonation, long aftertaste.
