Bottle @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift. Black beer with lasting dark beige head. Not too heavy on the bourbon but still dominates the beeer, It’s an impy stout with bourbon. Too hot, too all over the place. VsXsV (4584) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2012
Bottle. Opaque, black liquid with tan head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, coffee, chocolate. Really balanced. Light sweet taste with medium bitterness and lots of coffee and bourbon. Really good, thick body. Great, balanced beer. Can’t believe it’s not rated higher. yngwie (17379) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2012
Bottle, shared by Meilby. Some reddish notes, else it’s a dark brown beer topped by a dense, light tan head. Some alcohol on the nose, with roasted malts, a sort of pleasant boozy touch, some coffee, dark chocolate and some vanilla. A touch of vanilla and booze on the palate, full-bodied and warming, with roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate and alcohol. Lasting finish with roasted malts, some booze and a nice bitterness. Certainly a really nice one, would certainly like to repeat this one. 120224 Geokkjer (7673) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2012

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, oak, bourbon and coffee. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Copenhagen Beerfestival 2011. Pours black with a beige head and lacings. Quite sweet with some bitterness. Malty aromas of caramel and chocolate. Also aromas of bourbon and hints of cask wood and honey. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Long bourbony finish. Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - FEB 3, 2012
Bottle. No idea where this came from anymore. Anyways, a black pour, zero highlights, and a finger of beige head. Boozy aroma with tons of dry yet sweet dark chocolate, some odd earthy notes I can’t pin down. A little vanilla, a little bit of dark fruits. Almost a little peppery. Very, very full flavoured, jesus this is a flavour bomb. Loads of chocolate, coffee, definitely a bit boozy, with a spiced, earthy tinge to it. Burnt malts, alcohol in the finish. Fairly well balanced, but perhaps a little bit on the sweet side. Full bodied, and quite generously carbonatied. This is a good one for sure, but it falls a little short of the big hitters in terms of complexity. It’s not exactly one dimensional, but it’s not one of those beers you can just smell for hours and still pick out new things in. Sigmund (8111) - Tau, NORWAY - JAN 17, 2012
Shared bottle at local tasting. Bottle No. 49 out of 374 made. 10.4% ABV, 98 IBU. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Lovely aroma of bourbon cask, vanilla, coffee and chocolate. Excellent flavour, same elements as the aroma, but even more harmonious and well balanced. MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2012
Pour opaque pitch Black, with a solid half inch beige head.
Aroma has plenty of chocolate. Roasted malts, mocca, vanilla. Some wood and some burbon. Quite Nice.
Taste is quite sweet, but very balanced.
Medium full body, with low carb. gunnar (9989) - Sandnes, NORWAY - DEC 24, 2011
Bottle, thanks to my beerpal Ivar. Pours black with a big frothy tanned head. Aroma of bourbon, wood and vanilla. Taste is smooth, strong burning and warming alcohol, a bit too much, even though good enough.
