Another gem that someone opened at my birthday tasting in San Diego. Black pour, brown head. Loads of bourbon, vanill and chocolate in the nose. Great fudge, bourbon, vanilla and oka in the flavor...llight roasty finish. Nice!

blafa (511) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2011
Sampled at SBWF. Stockholm, September 29th, 2011.
Raw bourbon notes in the aroma mixed with a wood character and vanilla notes. The chocolate is more present in the taste backed up with intense coffee and cacao flavours. Bourbon plays a big part and is nicely integrated in this hardcore stout.

Bottle (RBESGG2011, Grand Tasting)
Black, good dark head. Good stout aroma, the bourbon’s pleasantly low in the mix. Big roasty body, decent level of burntness, pleasantly sweet, but a whole pile of booze too. Not a beer for rushing. Easy to believe they took a stout and threw a few bottles of bourbon into it, from the burn.
