Smooth fruity and crisp bitterness coming through a nice roasted chocolate dense malt base. Ends dry and bitter. Ungstrup (37333) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2010
Drunk to celebrate my rating number 17,400. Bottled. I’m drinking this the day before it expires, which every day is... I’m drinking it on its own, since chocolate deserts makes me fat and I can’t afford Cuban cigars. The beer is black with a huge dark brown head. The aroma is powerful with notes of dark chocolate, alcohol, roasted malt, and dextrose. The flavor is sweet with strong notes almost an explosion of roasted malt, dark chocolate, wood, and alcohol, as well as medium notes of astringent hops and dextrose, and hints of smoke, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. The alcohol leaves a tickling both on the palate and tongue. Huge thanks to yespr for giving me this beer. joergen (27984) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2010

On tap. Pours black with a vague orange hue and a tall and dense light brown head. Aroma has rich, dry burned malts with licorice and peaty smoke. Surprisingly only medium-bodied, burned - very burned - malts again some licorice with notes of vanilla and ashes. Has a distinctly malt bitter finish. Well made, but personally I prefer my Imperial Stouts a little sweeter. 090110 omhper (24980) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 30, 2010
Bottled. Very black, small head. Fruit nose with slight licorice. Blown up body with clean, rounded mouthfeel.. Fruity with licorice and whipped cream, growing inky bitterness. Feels a bit pointless, the flavours seem contained under pastic foil, leaving me a just the inkt bitterness. Not really my cup of tea. madmitch76 (24521) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2012

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Light airy palate. Well hopped Imperial Stout! Muscular dark malt with medium roast. Bitter pine hops. The finish brings together the hops and the roast malt for big bitterness. Decent but would have liked something less harsh.
Draft at Churchkey. Light-sucking black color. Aroma of blackcurrant or Snakebite, chocolate, licorice. Taste is dark roasted coffee grounds. Nice.
