Decent barley wine. Pours paler than many barley wines, with a hazy orange hue. Light sweet finish with some caramelized malt and sugar. A touch of hops as well. A little syrupy, but not unbearably so. Tap at Churchkey. SSSteve (4006) - - DEC 6, 2014
bottle. hazy red with some sediment under a small head. strawberry and caramel aroma. a warming finish and full body. most of the hop notes have dropped out at this point leaving a nice berry character. abv still shows some strength and leaves a strong warming sensation. moderate to high malt sweetness for the style. fonefan (51574) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2014

Draught @ Fermentoren, Halmtorvet 29 c, Copenhagen, Denmark 1700.
[ As Xbeeriment Copper Snow ].
Light unclear medium orange amber color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, fruity, dried fruit, moderate hoppy, earthy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, smoked - plastic, sweet malt, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Bottle. Hazy caramel colour with a thin head. Lots of bitterness on this one and the malts are not as rich as I would have liked. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Murky Sedona pour with a cloudy eggshell head spotted with a combination of pinhead and pebble-sized bubbles. Pretty subtle aroma...light caramel and honey. Flavor shows some of the alcohol and also displays toffee, brown sugar, and a touch of citrus. Medium mouthfeel.

Draught at Fermentoren. Clear red/brown - offwhite head. Freshish aroma. Ok malty. Citrus. Fruity. Barley. Ok toasted. Nice drinkability. Ok hoppy. And of course some sweetness. mansquito (6971) - Nueva York, New York, USA - FEB 14, 2014
Proletariat, NYC tap ($9): Pours reddish with an off-white head. Aroma is a little smoky and burnt, with sugar, molasses, and some caramel. Taste is sweet, but powerfully counterbalanced against the bitterness. Certainly a sipper. Not too heavy body. Alcohol is well-covered. Pretty good. 50cl bottle pours with a clear amber to ruby red body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweetness, a dash or two of prunes and figs and then a touch of smokiness. The taste starts with smooth sweet malts and then it gets into some prune and fig like sweet dark fruity esters. Toward midway a nice smooth smoky to peaty note takes over the flavor and takes everything right to the finish. This is a smooth tasty and rich barleywine. I like it. Tap. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tropical fruit, sour citrus hop and small alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate complex bittersweet flavor with a medium complex bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.
