Bottle: Poured a deep amber/golden color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and lightly resinous hops is dominant with some light notes of residual sugar. Taste is also dominated by dominant notes of citrus hops and some light resinous notes with some lightly sweet mat in the background. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed though hops floral notes could have been even more powerful. LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2013

A: Mildly Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, Foamy White Head, Decent Lacing
S: Grainy Malts, Floral
T: Bread, Mild Resin, Mild Boozy
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Malty, Mildly Bitter
Overall, for a DIPA, it was a little underwelming on the nose and flavor...the boozy finish was too strong for a lack of taste to mask it. Unless, you get this cheap, not worth the money IMO. TaktikMTL (7798) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013

A long-lasting, full white foam resides above the gently hazy deep golden hue. Fairly complex and appetizing hop nose, surprisingly perhaps for a beer that went through several months of private importation delays and transportation. There is a strong orangey, grapefruity foreground, but which is backed by ample tropical and green notes - think mango, litchi, pineapple. Underneath, the malt base is superb imo. Pale and complex Marris Otter, just a tad toasty, never to sweet, yet roundish, full-flavoured, very cerealic, bready. A perfect base to a Double IPA I find - not too much cloying sugars, yet a firm, flavourful malt base which does not steal the show. Finish suffers a bit from its lack of freshness, the hops mute into an orange tea character, leafier and soapier than it probably is when fresh. Certainly something I’ll be seeking in the future if I can find it fresh. Jorn69 (3156) - Ängelholm, SWEDEN - SEP 23, 2013

On tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Almost clear reddish amber with a decent white head. Fruity, grapey hoppy nose with distinct malty notes.Toasted. Honeylike sweetness. Light grassy. Lovely, resiny dry bitter finish. Full body but very high drinkability and yummyness - despite the abv. Metalchopz (3384) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 20, 2013
From the private SAQ import. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a big warm yellow cap, great retention and loads of fluffy lace. Fruity malts with lots of caramel and even butterscotch at one point. The hop is present, but the whole thing seems more like a normal IPA, not like an Impy IPA. Notes of grapefruits eventually appear. Alcohol is very well-hidden, goes down quite nicely. Grapefruit zest in the taste offering a little dryness. Orange hints linger in the aftertaste. Really smooth overall and different for the style as previously mentioned. In a good way. Pale amber in colour, slightly unclear, not much head. Aroma of American hops. Bitter, for some reason with a hint of smoked malt, and grape fruit, in aftertaste.
