Editor’s note: From 2010 - 2012 this beer was brewed at Amager Bryghus. From the summer of 2012 it will be brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

An Imperial IPA made with Marris Otter pale malt, 3 different hop varieties from 3 different parts of the world, fermented fairly dry.... The result; a nuclear meltdown of hops!

adamah (214) - California, USA - AUG 17, 2013
The aroma had a little tropical fruit aroma and caramel. It poured a light orange color with very little head retention. The taste had some light bitterness up front but finished mostly sweet. The body was thin and oily with very soft carbonation. Overall this was disappointing I’m guessing this keg was a little old coming all the way over the Atlantic. There was not much hop character left and too much caramel malts left it very unbalanced

dark gold pour. Aroma of big fresh malts. Tastes honey, earthy fuggles type hops. super sweet. slight drying resin to finish. light carb mid body.

malrubius (3049) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - APR 16, 2015
Bottle from Brewfest Beverage, where distributors dump old beer, for $1.99. Clear copper with lasting head and lace. Piney resiny aroma with hints of butterscotch and slight oxidation. Sweet toasted toffee peach syrup fruitiness with assertive woody piney resiny lingering bitterness in fairly dry finish. Medium-to-full body. Still has nice fine carbo. Very good, especially since it is probably quite old.

Beer shared @ home with friends. Clear amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: hoppy blast, caramel and malty notes. Taste: nice bitterness and caramel taste with some peat notes... Aftertaste: high bitterness.

guzgorog (952) - FRANCE - MAR 30, 2014
Bière orangée et trouble avec un col de mousse moyen. Au nez : caramel, bonbon, pin. En bouche, l’attaque est très amère laissant peu à pau la place à un côté résineux et sucré. L’alcool est assez présent.

Idiosynkrasie (8068) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 13, 2014
500ml bottle. Clear, orangey deep golden to amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, some resin, some cheesy sweat, a minimally smoky touch. Taste is minimally smoky, dry and bitter hoppy, surpressed hints of citrus fruit; lasting dry finish, well hidden alcohol. With time going by the smoky notes add up to become the predominating flavour.

probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 1, 2014
1 PT .9 FL OZ bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep amber with fine floaters and a fairly large yellowish-tan head.

Aroma: Strong, pungent citrus, some eucalyptus, floral honey, a bit of resin/green peppercorn.

Palate: Medium+ body, creamy, full effervescence.

Flav.: Lots of lemon/citrus and eucalyptus, a bit like drinking a Vicks lemon cough drop, sweet honey notes; quite sweet with decent bitterness and a long, lemon and medicinal finish.

Not for me. A shame, since I could have saved the bottle to share!

Eructoblaster (4413) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 1, 2014
Bottle - 500ml. Beautiful hazy amber body with a thick, off-white foamy head. Well balanced hoppy aroma with malty, citrusy, and grainy hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Its sharp, hoppy taste carries citrusy, woody, yeasty, and some subtle smokey notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

jookos (7098) - FINLAND - FEB 5, 2014
[email protected] Amber slight haze. Socks and some cardboard. Homebrewy yeastyness. Pretty much what my own dipas have been like. Nothing to enjoy here, keep calm and move along..
