Bottle; many thanks to madmitch76. It’s pretty bland on appearance. Looks like dishwater. The aroma is honey; sweet malts; perfume and butterscotch. Taste is sweet malts; honey; toffee; butterscotch and raisins. This is probably the worst quad I’ve ever had. Humble apologies to the brewers as I have had fantastic beers from both of you but this one is just odd. madmitch76 (26413) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2012

Very hazy dark red-amber beer. Malty nose. Zero carbonation. Slightly dry palate. Fairly rich malt with a little toffee. A little bit of fruit coming through towards the end and just a little aniseed alcohol in the aftertaste. Flat and disappointing.

2009 bottle. Almost clear amber, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some caramel and a trace of dry cream. Mildly tangy dried fruits. Little peppery spice. Dried orange. Touch of jammy raspberry. Light semi dry finish. Not bad at all.

Dark brown with some yeast particles. Aroma has vegetables and berries typical to Danish ales. Also some grapefruit juice. Richness with raisins typical to quadrupels is present. Flavour has alcohol, some peaches, fruit flesh, berries and caramel malt. All those will be run over by alcohol towards the finish. Drinkable.
(Draught) Pours amber to brown. The aroma holds fruits, berries and caramel/toffee-like malt up front with undertones of earth, cherries and candi sugar. Light floral. The flavour is fruity and berry-like with a fat malty backdrop of caramel and toffee. The mouthfeel is fat and soft. Bit sugary and complex aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. A slight honey taste at first, but as a little old flavor. Smells too old. Was drunk before BB date.

Hazy orange with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty, spicy and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. Too sweet and too much alcohol. 170310 ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 7, 2010
Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy reddish brown colour with a small bubbly off-white head. Rich, deep and well-rounded aroma of cherry-skins, toasted malts, milky chocolate, almonds, black currant and mild honey. Full-bodied with notes of honey, black currant, toasted malts, mild spices and brown sugar. Long rounded and warming aftertaste of milky chocolate, dried cherries and burnt sugar. Tasty! Pours a deep coppery body dressed in floaties and crowned with an off-white medium head. Smell is caramel, syrup and complex candy sugary notes. Taste has a sweetness profile strangely reminding me of my childhood’s "bruspulver" (soda pop fizzy powder), just without the whole chemical thing. Cherries, candy sugar and malt extract also appear throughout the palate. Regardless, this quad turns out to be not quite as complex and exiting as the Belgian "royal beers" it seeks to emulate. Ok, but not great. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - APR 15, 2010
Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a cloudy amber with beige head. Aroma of fruit, nice citrus, light caramel and a bit of brown sugar. Flavor is very much the same with an added sweetness and spice. Mouth feel is medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty brew! blutt59 (6599) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 4, 2010
bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, hazelnut colored pour with good white foam, fruity caramel aroma with flavors of caramel, dried fruit and a creamy texture and finish
