500ml Bottle from Viva Brazil restaurant, Glasgow:
This one was a really bland and quite boring beer that reminded me of a cheap lager you always seem to pick up on holiday that is only good for drinking in the sun. There was nothing exciting about this one although it thankfully wasn’t off-putting or disgusting to drink, it just wasn’t all that enjoyable either.

Bottle 500ml.

[ As Xingu Gold ].
Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy malt, light to moderate hoppy, herbs, citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, herbs, hoppy, grass, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140328]

Half liter bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear pale golden color with a large creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart fruits, yeast, pale malts. The taste is pale malt, grain, grassy hops, mild earth and a tart fruit finish. Thin-medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness, overall fairly odd.

Helles goldenes Bier mit etwas Schaum. Geruch leicht hopfig fruchtig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, hopfig, ok!

Clear light golden with fair white head. Aroma of cereals. Taste slightly too sweet. Fair carbonation. Not bad. Not good either.

500 ml bottle into lager glass; C083 BT1 bottle code. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, white grape, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, slight pine, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/floral hops, pale malt, and light earthy yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, white grape, orange zest, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, slight pine, and floral/yeast earthiness. Slight floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, white grape, lemon zest, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance and solid robustness of citrus/floral hops, pale malt, and light yeast ester flavors; with a very clean flavor profile and no cloying after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this a nice and pleasant Czech pilsener style. Good balance and solid robustness of citrus/floral hops, pale malt, and light yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

I’ll call this a golden ale or a premium lager, too similar for me. Better than the average Brazilian lager but not particularly good. The lightness is right, but it just doesn’t taste all that good.

Dedollewaitor (16382) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 23, 2014
Bottle @ MadsKL Studenterfest. Pours clear golden with a white head. Grassy and dry with a mild fruity touch. Clean. Dry bitter short end.

degbert (1776) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Bottle at Fogo de Chao in Indianapolis. Pours a really pretty gold with a high white head. Nose is floral with a definite hops overtone. Very clean and fresh on the tongue, with definite hops bitterness in the midpalate; just a fresh, crisp, and substantial beer without being heavy. Finish is long and a touch sweet. Quite good.
