A decent red ale. Sampled from a bottle in Campinas Brazil. Appearance is on target with a nice red cast but very clear. The head doesn’t last long at all. Nose is pleasant with a malty, caramel base. No apparent hop notes. Taste is sweet. Palate is medium light and the carbonation is released again in the mouth for a pleasant burst of aroma. Nice overall. Not intense enough to drive the score up, but a pleasant local beer that stands out from the usual pilsner drivel. I’m a tough scorer so this one doesn’t fair well, but it’s worth a sample if you get a chance.

Aromas of cooked cereal, subtle caramel. Reddish amber, pretty clear, quickly vanishing off-white head. Mostly dry, mostly malty of the Munich variety. Light-medium bodied, clean, a little sticky but pretty refreshing.
