LOVED IT!!! never had any of brew like this one, very smooth, mellow taste. no bitterness at all, sweet finish HogcliffeLenny (162) - Christchurch, Dorset, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2008
12 fl oz bottle at Chamas, Durham, NC. Never tried this one before. I was looking for a dark ale and this was the darkest they had. It pours black with little to no head. Aromas of molasses and roasted malts. The taste was slightly sweeter than I had expected but it was really very good. Again, the molasses flavours came through with hints of liquorice and aniseed. Definitely full bodied, creamy and easy to drink. This was my favourite drink over this past Christmas. tafernando (2) - BRAZIL - APR 20, 2008 does not count

This beer truley is black. It is very a very unique beer in the fact that it is full-bodied, but it goes down extremly smooth. I drink this beer whenever i can get it.

Damn. Very dark with some red if light passes through it, brownish head. Aroma of chocolate and malts. Taste is bitter with a nice citrus undertone and a biting finish. Very good stuff. dubc87 (2) - bellevue, Iowa, USA - FEB 26, 2007 does not count
My favorite beer to date. Dark. Strange rootsy taste. Love it. Somewhat pricey around here at 11-12 dollars a 6 pack. Good stuff. Nellie (349) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2010
i don’t care what you all say. this is a beautiful beer inside and out. this is my favorite everyday beer. beautifully black and carbonated. smells like cocoa krispies. tastes like heaven. camay1997 (4) - patton, California, USA - APR 3, 2017 does not count
Easily my favorite, in all catagories but aroma. The lack of aroma is due to comparison with more aromatic styles austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 25, 2002
Xingu is, IMHO, the champ of the Schwarzbier category. It’s drinkable in large quantities, which is good b/c the bottle is immense! Better than Sprecher Black Bavarian, which is too damn malty!
