Cask, Leicester Fest 12. Hazy gold with a bubbly foam. Aromas are toffee, caramel and apple with bready yeast and soft spices. Earthy with herbal notes. Leafy with autumn berries. Flavours are biscuit and cereal with mellow lemon and some cardboard. Bready yeast with earthy apple and pear. Well carbonated with a sweet, dry finish. Not bad. Cask handpump at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford 22.06.12 Pours gold amber with a slim white head, looks great. Initially a little sweet and despite being a decent drop quite a departure from the very hoppy Acorn Newport IPA. Smooth easy drinking golden bitter. The bitterness is there but a tad too subtle for me. Pleasant beer but I would have liked something a bit brasher and more assertive. Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Blonde more than gold with a creamy head. Has hops, but there’s plenty of malt in here too. A session ale in style and taste. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Far From The Madding Crowd Oxford. An orange gold coloured beer with hardly any head. A decent sticky orangey hoppy beer. A bit of sweet toffee malt to balance. A good body and a pretty nice beer. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 6, 2015

Cask half-pint in Far From The Madding Crowd, on 18th Oct 2014, just before going to the CAMRA Oxford beer festival.
Golden body, bright and clear, the head white and lasting. Nose is malt sweet with a citrus bent, as is the taste. Drying finish to this fairly light flavoured sweet brew, nice. olsvammel (7225) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2014

Salmon, Leicester. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is quite grassy, and the flavour is dry with a light bitterness. Overall a good golden ale.

Golden, clear, dense thin white head
Aroma - soft floral hops, quite sweet citrus, pale malts
Taste - mellow citrus, light grapefruit, touch of tangerine, some soft cereal in there, sweet fruity malts
Palate - Medium body, smooth texture, little oily, rather sweet palate. Finish - soft sweet fruits with a slight bitterness
Overall - OK, a tad too sweet. OK session ale.
