Cask at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear, red-gold with a slight, creamy topping. The nose has some old berries and brown bread. Light-medium sweet flavor with some soggy grains and leaves, citrus peel, bread, vague pine. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation; the condition could be better. Rich amber with a decent beige cap.
Nose is caramel, candied fruit peel, orange, straw, light bread.
Taste comprises blood orange, mineral notes, caramel malt, light biscuit, toasted brown sugar.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness.

Simple malty aroma, but like a beer should be. Very fruity estery taste. Pleasant fullish palate. Finish has a pungent hoppy side, some wool. Nice bitterness, and I do like the fruitiness.
Cask, gravity dispense at Beer Rebellion. It pour deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, leathery, varnish, touch of sweetness and dried fruit. The taste is wood, leather, resinous, varnish, touch of spice, light caramel and decent bitterness with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Orange amber with white head. Big fruity beer, berries with fruit pulp notes slightly sweetish but not overly so, then a goodly amount of aromatic hops, flowery with touches of citrus. Cask, gravity at Oddington Arms ’on tour’ Fencott bridge, Oxon, Saturday 1st September 2012 Pours mid amber with a very decent white frothy head. Good stringy bitterness, some sweet lemonyness, enjoying the bitterness. Fruity with a good tanginess. Very nice beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Amber gold with a cream foam. Aromas are toffee with red berries and leafy notes. Spicy with earthy apple. Flavours are bready, toffee malts with fruity berries and cream. Apple juice with honey sweetness and a spicy, herbal finish. Good stuff.
