BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2015
30th June 2015: cask half-pint in The Rocklands Club, Redditch. Smooth beige head to the ruby hued dark brown body: plenty of lacing from the head and the whole brew was smooth and rich. Malts all the way here, chocolaty, yet there is a hop content just below the surface to balance out too much sweetness or maltiness. Good.

BeerViking (4980) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2015

Cask at The Mermaid, St Albans on 12 Jan 2013. Poured a very, very dark ruby, with a dense beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit and cocoa. Coffee and roasty bitter flavours, mixed with fruit loaf and chocolate sweetness. Finish was cake, burnt malt and some grassy hop bitterness.

StueyD (1586) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2013
A dark reddish brown beer, weak head. A light roasted malt aroma with hints of dark fruit and bitter chocolate. Dry mouthfeel. A dry, roasted malt taste, dark fruits and bitter chocolate again, this time with roasted nuts. The fruitiness lasts into the finish. Tasted at the 2013 Norwich CAMRA beer festival. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
