GBBF Special edition beer brewed in collaboration with the British Hop Association and Charles Faram Hop Merchants. Crafted with leading edge experimental British hop varieties. Part of the British Hop Association research and development programme.
HOPS = #Top Secret# as yet unreleased hop varieties available exclusively to XT.
MALTS = Pale, Vienna, CaraPils.

August 2017 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'XT Brit Hop'. Pale golden yellow, still with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is airy, light citrus and biscuit. Body is light with soft carbonation. Taste is light passionfruit, gummy sweets, grains, sugary malt. Decent beer. (6-4-7-4-14=3.5)

Intense grain and bread malts, light caramel. Clear gold, tiny, frothy, white head. Light bitter. More grain and cereal malts, bread, soft carbonation, light bodied. Alright, though a bit boring. Cask at GBBF17, Kensington Olympia.

Cask-conditioned at the Raven, Bath 28/9/2017. Golden in colour, with a decently-sized, off-white, head. A touch of citrus fruit, rich tea malts, apricot sweetness, leafy hops and a moderately dry finish. fine.

Cask at White Horse August BH beer festival, Hedgerley, Bucks. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, fruity, peach on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, fruity, peach. Not a great deal happening here.

Cask conditioned at The Hopbine, Cambridge. Gold with white head. This proved to be a light, fruity beer with a dry leaf tea note. An orange marmalde flavour comes through later. It’s okay.

Cask at GBBF ’17, day one, 08/08/17. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is straw, bread, light citric quiver, melon. Taste comprises light tangerine, bready notes, grains, melon, lemon tinged grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Ok clean drinking number but doesn’t really pull out of third gear.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry and has modest carbonation. Thin malts, very modest sweetness. Light floral hop. Very mild hop fruits. Light dry finish. Clean. Whatever these top secret hops are - TRY STICKING MORE OF THEM IN YOUR BEER! Thanks!

Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 3. A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of toasted malt, soft fruity hops. Taste of mild citrusy hops, toasted malt, dry bitter hops.

Cask at the GBBF 2017. Day 1. 08/08/2017 . A pale yellow coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is light grains, straw, Nobel, hedgerow hop. Flavour is composed of light grains, little hay, apple, hedgerow hop. Palate is semi sweet, lowish carbonation. Assertive grassy hop.
