Cask at the King’s Head, Norwich. Mid to dark brown... actually mid-dark to dark brown, translucent with a big loose beige-tan head.slight aroma of chocolate and oak chips. Lovely sweet malty taste. Shirt finish. A bit of fudge brownie on the aftertaste. I like it although it is a bit one-dimensional. Theydon_Bois (19200) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2016

On tap at the Castle Tap in Reading. Dry and very ’old ale’ with a nice hint of roast in the aroma. Fairly tasty but a little lacking in depth. theprof (932) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2015
Earthy aroma. Flat cola pour thin bubbly top. Nutty malty mouthful with a lingering mild licorice finish. I prefer beers with more body but this has a pleasant enough biscuity complexity berkshirejohn (6451) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2015
