Served with a lemon slice; cloudy blond color. Aroma of dirty water (pond). Smooth mouthfeel; the final is lightly spicy, no fruits or esthers, and again that feeling of pond water.

Muddy blond color; thin creamy head. Aroma and flavor are very mild, the wheat character too, at least there is a light sweetness to support it. Unoffensive.

On tap at Yaletown, Vancouver. Cloudy gold with lasting white head. Lots of banana esters. Creamy banana in mouth, some dry zingyness on end. Yep, best beer here, as Oakes predicted. A certain fullness in the mouth, bit of spice/herb. Definitely in the hefeweizen sphere. Good wheat beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room at Sloppy Seconds, pours hazy yellow. Aroma of clove, banana and wheat. Flavour is heavy on banana and clove, with wheat, slight orange peel and a citric finish. Quite decent.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2006 Whew. To me, this is a return to form. Full-bodied, sweet, with the banana and clove. Rounded character. I’m happy again.

Hazy orange-yellow color, small steady white head, some lace. Sweet banana and some clove in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet banana wheaty flavor, some esters. Quite standard sweetish hefeweizen.

Draught. Small white head. Hazy orange body. Lemon aroma and flaovr. Fresh with the standard sweethess. Waitress put a lemon slice at the edge of the glass which probably infuenced the aroma and flavor. Bad idea.

Pretty good. I usually have this when the heat is on. Thin white head on a cloudy golden beer. Strong citrus aroma, with nice yeasty component. Tastes lemony and quite sweet. Gets a bit cloying if you have too many. Good medium length, fruity finish with nary a trace of bitterness.

Old backlog rating, Victoria/Vancouver may 2006: Nice clove, banana, a bit candy. Murky yellow, lowish lacing head. Mineral, clove, banana, marzipan, dry nuts. Chewy slightly light body.

riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Banana, clove, lemon, and wheat on the nose. Nice. Pours hazy yellow orange, thin fizzy white head. Flavors of banana and clove up front, wheat, and lemon in the finish. Dry quenching with nice fruity sweetness. Good take on style.
