Amber with a light head and no lacing. Some yeast in the nose with a note of spice. A little dry. Citrus and coriander come out in the flavor with a bit of heat at the finish.
This is a typical tripel in my opinion, not as flavourful as some of the Belgians (and I had this one fresh at the brewpub) it leaves a good impression nonetheless. Hazy golden red (a lot darker than a Belgian), white head, and a light fruity aroma greeted me from the glass. Red-amber color, with small creamy head. Light malt aroma, with a hint of spice and banana. Soft and round mouthfeel; strong caramel flavor, with light fruity touch, lingering sweetness, light Belgian yeast presence, but also too strong bitterness in the end. Not bad, but not seducing either.
Shared with McBerko at Alibi 200th beer list in Vancouver. Pours a medium brown with subtle head. Aroma has some pepper, yeast, mild caramel malt. On tap at The Alibi Room’s 200th beer menu event, split with manuchampions, pours hazy golden orange. Aroma of yeast, apple, pear, orange peel and wood. Flavour is more dominated by christmas spices (nutmeg definitely in ther), dry apple, yeast and wood. Quite decent.

(Draught) Sampled at Alibi Room in Vancouver on February 3, 2009, for $5.75. Beautiful aroma - wine, candied apples, iodine. Very sweet with a tart cherry twist, some fig... marshmellow finish. Higher alcohols in the nose evoke bubblegum and perhaps nail polish. Plenty of fruit is also notable. Hazy blonde-brown body is topped by a low tan head that recedes to ring. Flavour follows the aroma with an underlying round malt sweetness and plenty of fruit. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at Dix Xmas Extreme in Dec-07. Amber and hazy with minimal head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy with a touch of caramel. Sweet with some caramel and some roasty taste as well. Decent beer indeed.
