Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. I guess this is the right place to review this, even though the bottle was different. All the label said was Yanjing beer with no ABV or other information. Pours a standard macro yellow with a white head. The aroma is corn and garbage. Flavor is more macro corn. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a very good beer.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. I was told by the local admin that this might be the right entry, but it is hard to tell as the bottle only says Yanjing Beer with no alcohol content given. Anyway. Pours with a very clear pale body. Aroma of acetaldehyde and sugar. Taste is sugar, adjuncts and pretty shoddy overall. Fizzy and dry.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2010 I actually guessing that his is the version that I am drinking as none of the names or images matches what I have here. Very vegetal in both aroma and taste. Grassy. Tastes like a rice beer. It is crisp. There is an interesting sweet aftertaste though. Overall not bad.

I have no idea if this is the right beer, all my bottle says is "yanjing beer" and ratebeer does a piss poor job of giving us information to differentiate the different listings. This poured yellow and had a white head at one point but settles completely 100% headless. Nose is crisp with notes of old lime, wheat and mellow lager yeast. Soft grains and wheat dominate the clean, mellow flavors with hints of citrus splash in the finish. Actually, its fairly clean for the style and I like the distinctive lemony/lime notes in the finish. Not much else to say.

Clear, straw coloured. Rice and hops flavour. Quite mild and weak overall, but slightly better than expected.

Bottle. Pours clear straw coloured with a nice egg white head. Very fizzy and lively body. Aromas of grass, grain, vegetables and caramel. Weak flavour with notes of cereal and caramel.

Ok, the bottle I have just says "Yanjing Beer" and doesn’t look like any of the bottles I have seen. Pours golden with a big white head. Aroma is faint, light bready malts. Flavor is also light, bready, kind of stale tasting. Pretty meh.

IrishBoy (4224) - Bakersfield, California, USA - SEP 1, 2009
330 ml bottle from GM Liquors. Mose is lightly grassy and grainywith a light sweet note. Sparkling yellow with a small white head. Flavor is light bitterness combined with sweetness.

KimJohansen (10510) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2009
Clear golden with a medium white short lasting head. Sweet fruity aroma with malty and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet and malty with caramel notes. The finish was slightly bitter.

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - AUG 23, 2009
Bottle, 33cl. Pours a clear and very pale yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is malt and rice. The flavor is likewise malt and rice. The palate is refreshing but overall boring.
