China’s #1 selling beer, brewed with spring water for a crisp, refreshing taste. Editor’s note: It is not known what the specs of exported Yanjing are, but in the Chinese market the main Yanjing Beer is 10P and 3.6%.
Skunk smell on the nose. Very light color and light body. Lots of carbonation. I guess it is smooth. Not much going on taste wise other then skunkjy malts. Not a very good beer, but not surprising considering where it is from.
Bottle sampled at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Good head retention and lacing. Big skunk in the aroma which also features grass and unripe banana. The taste is green banana, grass and skunk. Medium bodied.
