Can. The following is a compilation of a dozen peoples’ thoughts who shared this brew with me at my first (and perhaps last?) Malt Liquor Dexterity Games Tournament to celebrate my birthday. Keeping in mind that most of the participants are not regular beer raters, here we go: corn and fusels, very industrial, harsh and actually a little hot/boozy at only 6% ABV (we’ve had 9+% tonight that were not as boozy), Jim what have you done? Yackee Jim #@*~ you, some old gum off of some dudes shoe, this tastes the opposite of silver, tastes like the South won the war, I’d hate to taste the Bronze Reserve. Aroma: sweet honey sugars with dry alcohol as backing. Plain and simple.
Look: clear with very short lived top. No lace. Flat looking.1+
Taste/Body/Palate: medium bodied with thinner base. Oily top, surprisingly low carbonation shown. Fairly smooth oily feel with corn like hints. Mid to mild dryness of alcohol along spread. Bolder heat noted as it warmed up. Not bad at all. No off flavous , fault free. Fairly smooth for malty. What else we should as for?
Canette 473ml. Boutip (6374) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 19, 2012
Can: Poured clear golden color beer with a relatively large foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light adjunct with load of blandness. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet adjunct notes with limited fusel notes. Body is average with good carbonation. I hadn’t had malt liquor in a while and this is definitely lees offensive then I was expected though still freaking bland at the end of the day. sseb69 (1909) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 18, 2012

Sample from can at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. The beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Grainy malt and corn in the nose. Light body with sweet malt, grain and faint hops flavors. The finish is short, sweet and malty. Pointless, below average overall. Can shared by a friend. Clear yellow pour with a medium white head. Malty and sweet nose; very lagery. Sweet and creamy lager flavor with a touch of hop. Spab (3839) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 11, 2012
473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a golden yellow with modest-sized white head. Aroma is mild but what’s there is vegetal with a hint of stale grains. Taste is rotten vegetables (maybe a little rotten fruit too), not too strong but still manages to be disgusting - this sucker should clearly be served ice cold. Nice to know that it’s slow brewed - obviously the speed of the brewing process wasn’t what was standing between these Yankee Jim beers and greatness. Kudos to the LCBO for bringing in another winner. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 5, 2011
