Pours black with brown head. A coffee and bourbon aroma. A chocolate, coffee, borubon and malt taste. A lingering bourbon and malty aftertaste. HeadyDE (857) - Delaware, USA - NOV 17, 2016
Surprise growler find worth a go..nose is pleasant bourbon with vanilla and wood..good looking dark caramel brown black color with slight head..first sip brings some chocolate for sure, some candy bar qualities.bourbon essence hits after chocolate, this is a nice not too high ABV bourbon barrel aged offering, digging this take on the regular Porter..tasty drfabulous (8224) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 13, 2016
Draught at City Tap House. Dark pour with thin to medium mouthfeel. Chocolate and some booze. kassner (1681) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2016
I don’t usually like whiskey notes in beer but this is just the right balance, Maybe a bit too much vanilla but very drinkable, Light cola color and a small bit of smoke. cheap (5958) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2016
Tap bocktown. Big & black, nice lacing from a creamy head. Neutral aroma. Wew, from the start the taste is lots of whiskey, whiskey laced porter. What else can be said except if you want bourbon, go get a shot, don’t mix it with good porter, if I want boiler-maker, I’ll order a boiler-maker, go figger. Piss me off. Yes, if you didn’t guess it, bourbon whiskey is what this beer is all about. Bourbon is in yer face, not impressed - bullshit, exactly as stated, porter aged in bourbon soaked barrels, what else would you expect?

Very nice. Scent is a light sweet raisin tobacco for the bourbon to sink in. Color is dark black with white head. Flavor had that sweet residual sugar but the bitter malt balanced it. A cocoa nibs and woody taste. The bourbon comes out at the end. Nice and even bourbon, not overly boozy. I liked that. Good 7%. Tap DCLawyer (2846) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Backlog. Draft taster. Deep brown with small tan head. Notes of vanilla, roast and chocolate malt, oak, bourbon. Quite good, nice surprise from Yards. dmac (6387) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 4, 2015
32oz mini growler from Xroads. Poured a flat body dark chocolate brown with a smaller frothy beige head. Aroma/flavor of mild chocolate milk with light bourbon and vanilla notes along with a slight alcohol kick. Body has some fizzy carbonation that easily makes itslef known over a slightly thinner body. Still a surprise solid beer from Yards. closey22 (2026) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Black with thin beige heAd; aroma is bourbony sweet with vanilla notes; Flava is roasty woody bourbony licoricy ; feels light for a porter decent fizz; finishes dry yet malty yet sweet tangy jrodooo5 (1688) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - MAR 18, 2015
Nice & soft on the palate. Good aroma & very nice pour. The bourbon is subtle but adds a nice twist on the style. Good stuff!
