Aroma of sweet caramel, toffee, coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Pours black and a little thin with a quick big head. Taste is chocolate forward with cherry, toffee, and some oats. Very thin but tasty. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Pours black with a medium tan head...nice retention and lacing. Aroma is very subtle and has light roast...not finding a ton of bourbon or barrel in the nose. Flavor has light roast and faint vanilla...tastes a bit like a cookie...very faint bourbon...tastes good but barely a hint of bourbon or barrel. Mouthfeel is light/medium and the finish is roasty/vanilla. Capa (3395) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2012
Dark with a brown head. Aroma is roasted, vanilla, butterscotch, an chocolate. Medium bodied with tingly carbonation. Flavor is roasted malts, butterscotch, chocolate, and vanilla. The barrels really impart a lot of flavor on to the Love stout. Nice. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2011
The beer pours dark black with a big tan foamy head on top. There are light notes of sweet and roasted malts in the nose. The body is thin and bubbly for a roasty flavored stout. The flavor is smooth with big after notes of coffee.
