The most approachable of our ales, Brawler is malt forward and delicately hopped for a knockout flavor. Its smooth character, hints of caramel and toast, and remarkable drinkability define this ruby colored brew as a true session ale. Perfect for when you want to go a few rounds.

Very good dark drinkable beer. I'm usually a hoppy beer guy but this is outstanding! I will get this again! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber, clear, malt forward and plenty of nice malt-driven notes like caramel, and bread, but some unexpected niceties like some winter spiciness perhaps from the yeast. Clean balanced and very enjoyable.

A malt and caramel nose, poured from a bottle a clear copper color with a lasting tan well laced head. Not much of a taste, just a hint of malt and caramel. A watery mouth feel with a light malt finish.

Muddy amber color, thin head. No lacing. Aroma and flavor both malt forward. Flavor is timid. Body is very thin and smooth. Very easy drinking but not an overly exciting or interesting beer.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2010, Parsons Green, London in July 2010 - Ruby/Dark Brown in colour. Malty; mildly roasty malts, caramel. Sweet malty throughout. OK. Easy drinking. Sessionable. (2010-07)

Backlog, Draft at Sugar House, seems like they have the freshest yards outside of the brewery which is a stones throw away. Pours amber with a medium tan head. Smell and taste are caramel bread, fruit, spice, and other malty stuff. Light carbonation on a medium body. Solid

3.6
ClarkVV (6893) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 7, 2016
Bottle, unsure of date, from Chameleon Club on 8/27/16.
Clear amber body is topped by a light beige head of moderate retention.
Soft, light toffee-tinged malts in the nose are joined by leafy, somewhat grassy hops adding spice and mild acidity. Lots of depth to the malt with emerging honey, biscuit and light caramel. Quite clean, not overly sweet and no alcohol.
In the flavor, it has a malty texture providing caramel, light toffee and honey-vanilla notes, with mildly fruity yeast notes and spicy-grassy hops adding modest bitterness and balance. Very nicely balanced, with a graininess that helps keep things dry and crisp on the finish. Clean. No diacetyl whatsoever in this bottle.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clear, rusty amber-brown with a small dusty-yellow head and good lacing. Aroma of toffee, cola and brown sugar. Taste of toasted malt, caramel, brown sugar and off-brand cola. Medium body and low/medium carbonation. Sweet and malt. Nothing fancy, but not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
