12oz bottle gifted by AirForceHops. Thanks, Chris! Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, vanilla... Kind of reminds me of a Creme Egg. This is dryer and thinner than the aroma would indicate. Dark chocolate, a hint of licorice and mild overextracted coffee. Carbonation too heavy. Mouthfeel really takes this down.

12 oz. bottle from a 4 pack. Purchased at Liquor Outlet Wine Cellar, Boonton, NJ. Deep brown in color, thin head. Aroma consists of melted chocolate candy, mild coffee note, and mild dark fruit hints.

Weak roast with plenty of chocolate throughout the sip. My only issue with it is the thin body. For the ABV and flavor I expected it to be more full in body. However, I will say the chocolate that is advertised is here in a decent character. Also a tad high on the carbonation. Still drinkable and somewhat enjoyable.

Black, dark brown head that fades quickly. Sweet chocolate nose. Chocolate dominates, mixed with roasted malt before some slight bittering hops enters at the end. Velvety smooth with small bubble carbonation. Would be better with lower carbonation.

The Brewer of Brothery Love upped the value of Love Stout with the addition of dark chocolate. This aroma was so strong with the scent of dark, expensive chocolate. It had the flavor and mouth feel of having a chocolate melt in your mouth (like letting a nib of some high end European chocolate melt in your mouth), and there was a bitter hop bite on the back end. This is a great brew to enjoy in the winter season. The bonus was picking this up at $29.99 a case at Bell Bev in South Philly. Cheers!

Pours jet black in color. Has absolutely no lacing or head retention. Smells like chocolate and tastes like it too. It reminds me of carbonated hot chocolate.

Pours a dark brown with a light brown head which lingers a bit.....aroma of chocolate, little else......taste is flavorful dark chocolate, slight vanilla notes, very slight bitterness and a touch sweet but no backbone at all. Way too thin for this much flavor and off balance.

Draft to pint (thanks Kerry). Looks good; a slightly translucent dull blackish cola with foamy beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, milk chocolate, and a touch of roast alongside a bit of well-balanced sweetness. Tastes like it smells, but more dark chocolate than milk chocolate. Some cocoa and a bit of caramel on the tongue as well. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and smooth with some mild, pleasant bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable, and a nice step up from the base.

Black pour beige head with light lacing .... Aroma of cocoa/dark chocolate with some sweetness (lactose sugar?) and caramel/roasted malts... Taste is of roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate/bakers cocoa. Some sweetness gotta be lactose sugar and lightly bitter .... Finish is dry and chalky with some lingering sweetness .... Decent body

At beachhouse in Bethany. Pours a cola brown with almost no head. Chocolate on the nose. Taste is some chocolate and vanilla upfront, but it lacks any kind of hops in the finish - very thin. I like my stouts with a little more muscle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
