Black color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, some cocoa. Taste of the same, roasty, burnt wood, dry finish.

Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is loaded with fresh roasty coffee...perfect coffee aroma. Flavor follows suit but still has nice charred notes and a bit of bitter dark chocolate...subtle pine. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and roasty with lingering fresh and robust coffee.

This poured a darker brown with a small beige head. Aroma was of stale coffee and really nothing else. Flavor showed it even more, stale old coffee with not really much underlying beer character.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy dark brown head that lingered forever and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with brewed coffee and wood. The flavor was bitter, sour, roasty and dry with notes of brewed coffee and wood. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not good.

Black-brown body, large, creamy light tan head, dense lacing. Subtle coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Medium bodied, dry, creamy carbonation, lingering toasty/earthy finish. This does exactly what its intended to do.
