IPAs were originally brewed to survive the epic sea voyages from England to India. Ours is no different. Hailing from a firm malt background and loaded through and through with hops, this beer will surely survive the journey from your fridge to your couch.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. slight citrusy. Bitter and smooth fruity into a hoppy and bitter dry finish.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Malty hoppy, pine needles aroma. Sweet malty hoppy bitter flavor with pine needles hints. Dry malty hoppy and bitter finish.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours clear, dim gold with a frothy, yellow-cream head. Aroma has vague citrus fruits, some tangerine perhaps. Light to medium sweet with peach, tangerine, dry bread, a bit of dirty pine. Light sweet flavor with faint tangy citrus, orange, mildly dried bread, more pine, light earth. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, some earthy pine bitterness, dry and lightly toasted malts, orange rind. Fair.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with medium creamy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit and floral. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light bitter resin finish, good.

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, apricot, orange zest, light grapefruit and a hint of pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light orange zest and light pine with a smooth moderatly bitter finish.

Murky amber body with small beige head, leaves nice lacing. Aroma is sweet, grapefruit/pine, some melon. Taste is mild sweet, with grapefruit that begins mild but grows as it crosses your tongue, reaching a nice crescendo of intensity by the swallow. Medium body, no sign of the elevated alcohol. An excellent beer.

A clear golden ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with good resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit notes, light resinous character, nice. On tap at Jack Duggan, Terminal A, PHL.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear reddish copper color with a medium sized tan frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with some caramel notes. Taste is leafy, citrus hops with toffee and grainy malt notes. Medium bodied. Pretty decent.

Sample at GABF 2013. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
